Higop Sarap: Egg Drop Soup Non-Stop!

Sipping on a warm soup can bring comfort and relief to your stomach. Para sa maraming tao, ang mainit na sabaw ay nagpapaalala ng mga lutong bahay na mula pa sa tradisyon ng pamilya at palaging ginaggawa ng may pagmamahal. That’s when Egg Drop Soup comes in handy. This classic chinese soup ay egg-saktong remedy especially on cold days that’s hard to be ignored. Hindi lang basta-basta higop, meron ding dulot! Nakakapag-increase ito ng blood flow sa tiyan na nakakatulong sa pagtunaw ng pagkain at pagkawala ng discomfort.

Ang egg drop soup ay talaga namang kilala sa karamihang asian household or restaurant dahil sa floating egg ribbons nito at flavorful broth na patok sa mga tao. Hindi lang iyan, the best part in this popular dish is that kayang-kaya mong gawin ito in just 15 minutes with simple ingredients that you probably already have in your kitchen and accessible sa mga tindahan! Ano pang hinihintay natin? tara na't alamin kung paano nga ba gawin ang masarap na soup na ito!






INGREDIENTS


2 Large Eggs

1 Chicken Cube

1 tablespoon cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons water (for slurry)

Salt and Pepper (adjust to taste)

Mixed Veggies (optional)



PROCEDURE

First, prepare the chicken broth. Sa isang medium size na pot maglagay ng 4 cups of water and 1 chicken cubes at pakulaan ito sa medium heat.


Next, kapag well mixed na ang chicken cubes at tubig, put in the cornstarch slurry (1 tbsp of cornstarch mixed with 3 tbps of water) and stir it to slightly thicken the broth.


Then, kapag nakuha mo na ang tamang consistency na gusto mo for the soup, slowly drizzle the beaten eggs sa simmering broth while stirring it gently to create egg ribbons.


After that, add the mixed veggies (optional) hanggang sa lumambot ito, also add salt and pepper to adjust the taste of the soup.

Finally, after 15 minutes of cooking, just put the desired amount of the egg drop soup in a bowl to serve! Enjoy eating!
